Las chaquetas de vestir son bienvenidas pero opcionales.

NIÑAS

Vestidos: Blancos, por debajo de la rodilla de largo. Los hombros deben estar cubiertos. Sin correas de espagueti.

From Our Pastor

From Our Pastor

Dear Folks,

Happy Easter! Christ is Risen, just as He said!

One of my most enduring memories of the last few years happened on Easter Sunday 2020 when only 10 people could gather in the church for the Easter Masses. A wonderful parishioner, Prudencia, was peering into the church through the locked doors at the beginning of Mass. I immediately remembered the ladies who went to the tomb on the very first Easter Sunday! Like those women, she had braved much in coming out when the city was locked down.

Immediately, I knew I had to let her in. Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene who had run to the tomb in her love of Him, and she had come in love searching for Our Lord. When I let her in, she wept for joy. She sat in the back and wept, saying “who am I that Jesus should let me in?”

Prudencia passed away the following Christmas, when Jesus called her home to eternity. In life she was probably the most powerfully prayerful person in this parish, and in eternity I believe that her prayers are even more efficacious. I am confident that this Easter she will remember our parish of St. Mary’s and the families that freely gather here today to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord! Many will remember her, as she lovingly handed out many miraculous medals, prayers, and for some, even your wedding or prom dress, as she was a gifted seamstress.

Enjoy this wonderful and most solemn feast of our faith. Everything is found in this feast, where Christ triumphs over death, disease, and fear. I wish you a blessed day with your family!

peace and love,

Father John Mosimann
