Dear Folks,
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! As I have done every year, here is this year’s list of 10 things I am thankful for:
1. Bialetti Moka Coffe Pot — so good…. and the Cuban in my office is trying to claim it is Cuban, don’t let the Italians know!
2. Being Dean — because I get a fancy ‘Very Reverend’ title!
3. Crosses — see above, because you know, by now, that I really don’t care about titles, and I’m really just thanking Jesus for more work!
4. Pope Leo — I always said we’d never have an American Pope — good thing I don’t gamble!
5. Rugged Rosaries made with paracord — I have expanded my rosary making, thanks to Luke who helped inspire me!
6. Orange — someone joked today that I’d paint the church orange if I could. Hmmm… nice idea!
7. Coats, Thanksgiving food bags & snack bags for kids — yowza, that’s a lot of coats & food you all donated this Week of Service!
8. 42+ servers in training — most parishes don’t have that many total, and that’s how many NEW servers asked to be trained!
9. Scotland — so rugged and beautiful, with kind folks everywhere I went! Gotta go back!
10. Topsail Island, NC — standing at the water’s edge for hours and enjoying the calm… a definite highlight this year.
pax,
Father John Mosimann
