From Our Pastor
Folks,
Director of Sacred Music Resigns. With great sadness, but trust in Divine Providence, I want to share with you that David Uschold has decided to move back to Ohio to be closer to family.
For nearly seven years David has been such a blessing to the life and worship of our parish family, that is really hard to put into words. Under his direction I have observed growth in choirs, and an ability to teach music and lead musicians that has been wonderful to behold.
Years ago, a choir member commented to me that they love to be challenged to learn new things. I think David has done an amazing job at exactly that! No matter the level of proficiency of the musician, he has been able to contribute to their artistic growth.
David will be with us here through Easter Sunday, and his last day will be Divine Mercy Sunday. So be extra sure to plan to attend the solemn liturgies of Holy Week and thank the Lord that David has shared his talents with our parish family. We will make plans to thank and honor him with the parish, and that information will be forthcoming.
Catholic Schools Week!!! A huge shout out to Dr. Fry and all of our school staff at Holy Cross Academy for their hard work and generosity in teaching and serving the children of our parish. This weekend our students are passing out cards after Mass to thank our parishioners for supporting the school and to celebrate both Catholic Schools Week and the success of our Capital Campaign!
Teaching and living our faith, is at the heart of the mission of the parish, and Holy Cross Academy is on the front lines of this work for so many parish families. I recall one time asking a pre-schooler what she had learned. Without hesitation, she looked up and said, “I learned that Jesus can never stop loving me. His grace is His love in my heart.”

Fr. John Mosimann

Collection for the Church in Latin America Jan 27 and 28
This weekend we will take up the Collection for the Church in Latin America. For many in Latin America and the Caribbean, a rising secular culture, diffi cult rural terrain, and a shortage of ministers all present obstacles to practicing the faith. Your support for the collection provides lay leadership training, catechesis, priestly and religious formation, and other programs to share our Catholic faith with those who long to hear the Good News of Christ. To learn more about how your gifts make a difference, visit www.usccb.org/latin-america.
