The Diocese of Arlington announced this morning, along with other priest assignments, that our own Father Stephen Holmes, who has faithfully and lovingly served the parish these past 5 years, has been transferred to the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Winchester, Virginia, where he will serve along with another St Mary alum, Sacred Heart’s pastor, Fr. Bjorn Lundberg.  Father Holmes’s new assignment will become effective as of June 28, 2018.  Please stay tuned for more information about Fr. Holmes’s going away events as we thank him for his hard work and devotion to the people of St Mary.  Please keep Fr. Holmes in your prayers as he embarks on his new assignment!

In his place, the Diocese has announced that effective June 28, Rev. Mr. Michael J. Folmar will be assigned to St Mary as our new parochial vicar.  Deacon Folmar is currently a transitional deacon, and will be ordained to the priesthood, along with two other transitional deacons, on June 10, 2018 at 11am at the Cathedral of St Thomas More in Arlington, Virginia, by Bishop Burbidge.  Please keep Deacon Folmar in your prayers as he prepares for his ordination and his first assignment as a priest here at St Mary!
