From Our Pastor

Dear Folks,

Recently my bulletin note mentioned a very special Eucharistic Miracles presentation that our parish will be hosting at the new FredNats Ballpark! Word
is spreading throughout the Diocese and we want to make certain that our St. Mary parishioners are able to attend. The event is FREE but tickets are required. . We have set aside a few sections for St. Mary’s for all presentations and these tickets are available at the parish office NOW! You may also order tickets on- line, information is found on the advertisement in this bulletin and on our website

Our guest presenter is Dr. Ricardo Castañón Gómez, the former atheist scientist who led the scientific investigation of the Eucharistic Miracle in Buenos Aires, Argentina and subsequently others. He will speak on how the investigations led to his conversion to the Catholic faith and conclude that there is scientific proof of Jesus’ REAL PRESENCE in the Eucharist. The events are scheduled for Friday, October 22 (youth program) intended for middle and high school aged students AND Saturday, October 23 in English and Spanish.

In August of 2019, the National Catholic Reporter included results of a recent study about the level of Catholic belief in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist which showed that a majority of Catholics (69%) do NOT believe that the bread and wine used at Mass become the body and blood of Christ. These are grim statistics and ones that should wake us up as Catholic parents, the primary educators of our children!

This presentation is a powerful opportunity to educate ourselves and our families, opening our hearts and minds to the truth of the faith, where we can see Eucharistic Miracles submitted to rigorous scientific analysis, in showing forth the glory of God.
