From Our Pastor
Dear Folks,
A Blessed Thanksgiving Weekend to you!
So let me say that I am thankful for:
1. Washington Capital Stanley Cup… so many years of sports frustration ended.
2. Tacos: best I have ever had can be found in Fredericksburg.
3. People of St. Mary’s. Your goodness and encouragement are a true gift.
4. My Family: thanks Mom & Dad.
5. Priestly Fraternity: we have a great rectory.
6. Brown Rice, Turkey, Apple Pie, Sesame Chicken, Ribeye Steaks – this list could go on and on!
7. Military Families – so many sacrifices to keep us safe and free.

8. Simple words of support and Kindness – Your gratitude lifts burdens.
9. Jesus: He is everything and without Him there are no #1 to #9.
9. Jesus: He is everything and without Him there are no #1 to #9.
10. The wisdom to end this list that could go on all year.
Parish Stewardship and Consultation:
In case you were traveling last weekend and missed it, I gave a critical update on parish finances, development, and future plans. This included a 5 page explanation in the bulletin that I beg every parishioner to read so that you can prayerfully consider how you will support the parish in the coming year. Additionally, we will have a survey next Sunday in the church to get your opinion on several matters important to the life of the parish. If you did not get the bulletin last weekend, you will find a booklet with the financial information in the pews this weekend. Additionally, if you are reading this at home, it is available on the parish website: www.stmaryfred.org. Please read it carefully, so that you may give considered and informed feedback in the survey.
Candlelight Masses 7:01pm Sundays in Advent:
These will be back in the month of December. Please check it out if you wish for a fresh and especially contemplative take on the Sacrifice of the Mass! This will begin next week!!
