From Our Pastor
Dear Folks,
Three topics, two possible job openings and a Holy Day of Obligation!
Assistant Director of Youth Ministry — Full-Time
We are now accepting applications for this position.
Please follow the instructions in the bulletin and send your materials to edoyle@stmaryfred.org. Be sure to indicate your interest in the Youth Ministry role in your cover letter.
Assistant Bookkeeper — Full-time or Part-time (TBD)
Okay, this one isn’t in the bulletin—other than right here! Due to the ever-growing size of the parish, the capital campaign, and ongoing construction, we could really use more help with bookkeeping, payroll processing, and budgeting tasks for parish operations. Don’t let that list scare you off! Do you love numbers, spreadsheets, attention to detail, and have a willingness to learn? Then this may be a great fit! There will be room to grow and learn in this job. Now, I do have a brother retiring from government service who would be perfect for this position—but alas, he’s not eligible because nepotism is bad! Maybe you are looking for a change—and the rewards are heavenly! Email a letter of interest and your resume to edoyle@stmaryfred.org. I hope to begin conversations shortly after the holidays.
If the job details seem fuzzy, that’s because they are! I’m hoping to find the right person and shape the role around your skills to match the parish’s bookkeeping needs.
Immaculate Conception — I’ll see you tomorrow for the great feast of our parish — the schedule is below. It’s a deeply consoling truth that the Lord prepared Mary, from the first moment of her conception, with everything she would need to be His mother. Jesus will always give you what you need to accomplish His holy will. Immaculate Mary, strengthen us with the same certainty: that Jesus has prepared our souls for every good work He asks of us.
pax,
Father John Mosimann
