Dear Folks,

I can’t believe that I am writing a bulletin note for the 1st Sunday of Advent! 2020 is teaching us to turn the other cheek over, and over, and over again.

As we prepare during Advent, it should not be a surprise that requests for our “Adopt-a-Family Member” Program and “Giving Tree” are at an all
time high. With the decreased attendance at Mass because of the pandemic, and increased pleas for help, our ability to help folks this year is finite. Therefore, I encourage you to please consider helping AND sharing the need with friends, family and neighbors looking to help folks in need.

Helping others is a command of the Gospel. I am so proud of the St. Mary’s staff and volunteers who have continued to put themselves at risk during a pandemic in order to help our most vulnerable brothers and sisters.

Ohhh, yes, and candlelight Masses…. 7pm each Sunday of Advent (tonight included) and December 27th too! It may be a little more of a challenge with limited server availability, but I believe we can rise to the challenge!
