The stained glass windows above the sanctuary are going to be removed for repair work this week. The mold the glass sits in is being bowed out and is in danger of falling into the sanctuary. A professional firm will remove the stained glass panels, reset and reinforce them, and replace them over the course of 2 months. In the meantime, plywood will cover the open windows. At reinstallation, proper glass panels will cover the area on the outside to protect from the temperature changes that caused the bowing in the first place. The glass will be replaced exactly as it is now. Thanks for your patience while this necessary work is done.
