One additional week of Confessions is added to the regular schedule in preparation for Christmas.
All are encouraged to plan to celebrate the Sacrament of Confession early in the season to avoid the last-minute rush and crowded lines, and the risk of coming too late.
Please note well: There will be no additional Confessions after Tuesday, December 23.
* Celebrate this Holy Day of Obligation and our Parish Feast Day: Immaculate Conception,
Monday, December 8 with special Masses throughout the day: 6:30 and 9am, Noon, 6 and 7:30pm.
* Our December Taizé Ecumenical Prayer Service will follow the 7:30pm Mass on Monday evening, about 8:30pm. All are welcome.
* Advent Lessons and Carols , our annual Advent prayer service, is on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:30pm. Saint Mary choirs present Advent songs along with Scripture readings and hymns for all to sing.
* SCRIP is on sale this weekend in the Parish Life Center after most Masses. Please use SCRIP and help our school.

* Handcrafts from the Holy Land will be on sale after all Masses December 13 and 14. A perfect Christmas gift from Bethlehem will complete your shopping list for Christmas giving and help people in great need in the land where Jesus was born.
* If you or someone you know needs to register at Saint Mary, we WILL have a New Parishioners’ Welcome Meeting, today, November 23 in the church. Because of Christmas, this will be the last Welcome Meeting of 2014. Please join us.
* There will be only one Mass on Thanksgiving Day at 10am. Please bring non-perishable food donations for the Fredericksburg Food Bank, and bring them up to the altar at the Offertory. To those who are traveling, we wish you a safe and happy journey.

* Looking ahead, Sr. Elaine Davia, Bon Secours, will speak at the 5pm and 7pm Masses on Saturday, December 6 and at the 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 5 pm Masses on Sunday, December 7. Sr. Elaine will be available after the 2pm Mass to speak individually with interested parishioners.
* Don’t miss our Open Houses TODAY at Saint Mary Preschool in the Parish Life Center 9:30-Noon and Holy Cross Academy from 1pm to 3pm. Come and see our progress, get updates, and see why we are so proud of our school.
